Four RBI Day for Danielle Humphrey brings in win for Grayson


Grayson College defeated Paris 22-3 on Friday thanks in part to Danielle Humphrey, who drove in four runners. Humphrey drove in runs on a home run in the second, a single in the third, and a home run in the fourth.

Grayson College earned the victory despite allowing Paris to score three runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Paris was led by K Meador and C Wragg, who each had RBIs in the inning. In the first inning, Grayson College got their offense started when an error scored one run for Grayson CollegeGrayson College put up 15 runs in the third inning. Shelby Fleming, Lauren Degelia, Alexus White,  Cailyn Cunningham, Shawna Terry, and Baylee McBrannon all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Kylie Williams earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Grayson College. She lasted five innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out ten and walking one.    B Gibbons took the loss for Paris. She lasted two innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out three. Grayson College collected 11 hits on the day. Humphrey, Fleming, and Morgan Lewis each collected multiple hits for Grayson College. Humphrey led Grayson College with three hits in four at bats.
